Weeknight Anchor Ciara Speller joined WWLP-22News in July of 2017 as a multimedia journalist. Prior to her work at WWLP, Ciara received a master’s degree in Journalism from Emerson College in Boston where she was awarded the Journalism Graduate Student Award. Ciara also attended Salve Regina University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Communications and minored in Dance. A native of New Hampshire, Ciara was actively involved in New Hampshire politics where she covered rallies during the last presidential campaign. She also had the opportunity to report from the 2017 Presidential Inauguration in Washington. D.C. for WEBN-TV in Boston.
Ciara is also actively involved in the western Massachusetts community. She currently serves on the board for the non-profit organization, I Found Light Against All Odds, which provides resources for at-risk youth and their families. A lover of the arts, Ciara enjoys experiencing the dance and theatrical offerings throughout the area.
